Deep Bend Outfitters is a fishing guide service based in Maupin, Oregon, serving anglers looking for a more intentional, experience-driven day on the river. The goal was to create a visual identity that felt credible, established, and ready to live across gear, signage, apparel, and a booking-focused website—without leaning on overused outdoor branding tropes.

Deep Bend Outfitters needed an identity that could stand shoulder-to-shoulder with established Western guide services while still feeling distinctive and modern.

The brand had to communicate credibility immediately… something anglers would recognize as experienced, local, and dependable—while remaining versatile enough to live across apparel, drift boat graphics, decals, signage, and future retail merchandise.

At the same time, the visual system needed to avoid the typical “outdoor logo kit” look and instead create something recognizable, durable, and built to scale as the business grows.

wE BUILT:

• A primary brand mark inspired by heritage outfitter patch systems and river-guide signage traditions

• A flexible badge and icon set designed for hats, decals, gear tags, and boat graphics

• A durable outdoor color palette optimized for embroidery, screen printing, and vinyl applications
• A typography system selected for clarity across merchandise, vehicle graphics, and booking-focused web layouts

• Species-driven illustration elements to support storytelling across apparel and retail extensions

• A scalable visual toolkit designed to support future expansion into trip booking, branded merchandise, and outfitter retail
